Bubur Ahian : Authentic Fish Porridge!

This is it!

So, this my first time goes to Borneo, especially Pontianak to do my internal medicine clerkship in Saint Antonius Hospital. So excited to do it, but more excited to explore Pontianak culinary! And, this is my first place to visit, "Bubur Ikan Ahian". Let's check it out!

When you came in, just take a deep breath and feel the good fish smell, not fishy smell. Simple and homey place, perfect for simple authentic food. Personally I prefer indoor because Pontianak so hot at afternoon.


   





This is the main ingredient! I choose Napoleon Fish with extra skin from the fish. Actually this is my first time to hear "Napoleon Fish" so I'm so excited to try it! You can choose other unique fish like shark fish. Yeah, Shark Fish for your lunch. Excited?




Simple fish broth with simple spices!

Texture : 9/10
Presentation : 8/10
 And, foila! This is the Ahian fish porridge!
Actually this is really big portion for 1 Person. But, for me, it's enough hehe
Personally, when I eat seafood, the most important thing is not fishy! and for me, this is not bad fishy smell but "fishy good"!
Very juicy Napoleon fish and skin, with extra chicken, fried onion and clear broth, perfect to accompany your lunch time!
