Sari Bento : Bento Delicioso!

This is it!

When you go to Pontianak, Seafood are the favorite one here (beside of Pork of course). And, Sari Bento are one of the most favorite Seafood Restaurant in Pontianak. So, let's dine in!

Tumis Tauge
Taste : 7/10
Texture : 8/10
Presentation : 7/10
Classic stir fry bean sprouts. Simple, good for your health

Tempura Sayur
Taste : 8/10
Texture : 9/10
Presentation : 7/10
Good idea to deep fried the vegie for condiment. Extra crunchy, extra crispy, extra tasty.


Cumi Goreng Tepung
Taste : 8/10
Texture : 7/10
Presentation : 7/10
Who doesn't love crispy and juicy fried squid? For me, it's a little bit overcooked so the squid a little bit chewy. But, still okay to accompany your lunch.

Grilled fish! Juicy fish grill with sweet soy sauce, perfect with Sambal, Indonesian chilli sauce.

Es Krim Petrus a.k.a Es Krim Petrus : Frozen!

This is it!

For your information, Pontianak is one Tropical city in Borneo that is right at the Khatulistiwa. So, you can imagine how we need something like ice cream to chill our body. Let's dig some!


The real name is Es Krim Angi, but local people always said "Es Krim Petrus". I ask why, actually because it's located in front of Saint Petrus School.

 There is 3 choices of Ice Cream here (Chocolate, Vanilla, Strawberry). Personally, I like strawberry so much. When you order, you'll get extra red bean and cincau topping. Taste, damn good and melted in your mouth shortly! 


Oh! Don't forget to enjoy your ice cream with coconut if you want to eat on the spot! Very unique and recommended!

Bubur Ahian : Authentic Fish Porridge!

This is it!

So, this my first time goes to Borneo, especially Pontianak to do my internal medicine clerkship in Saint Antonius Hospital. So excited to do it, but more excited to explore Pontianak culinary! And, this is my first place to visit, "Bubur Ikan Ahian". Let's check it out!

When you came in, just take a deep breath and feel the good fish smell, not fishy smell. Simple and homey place, perfect for simple authentic food. Personally I prefer indoor because Pontianak so hot at afternoon.


   





This is the main ingredient! I choose Napoleon Fish with extra skin from the fish. Actually this is my first time to hear "Napoleon Fish" so I'm so excited to try it! You can choose other unique fish like shark fish. Yeah, Shark Fish for your lunch. Excited?

 And, foila! This is the Ahian fish porridge!
Actually this is really big portion for 1 Person. But, for me, it's enough hehe
Personally, when I eat seafood, the most important thing is not fishy! and for me, this is not bad fishy smell but "fishy good"!
Very juicy Napoleon fish and skin, with extra chicken, fried onion and clear broth, perfect to accompany your lunch time!
